"Wet & Wild"

new watercolors by Mary Ann Bridgman

featured September 2015 show

Recent watercolor scenes by Mary Ann Bridgman are inspired by watery wonderlands everywhere, but especially by those that make up so much of our beautiful Lowcountry.

The Bridgman family is enthusiastic about spending time in canoes and kayaks exploring the many rivers and creeks in the area.  The historic Ashley and beautiful Edisto Rivers are favorite places to enjoy.

In “Gateway to the Edisto,” the river is visible beyond the large trees.  The water is very smooth with detailed reflections, perfect for paddling at a leisurely pace.

“Don’t Get Lost” shows how easy it might be to lose oneself, or perhaps find oneself, in the serenity of a cypress swamp.

“Wet and Wild” will be on display at Art Central Gallery through the month of September 2015.  Meet the artist at Third Thursday September 17, 2015 from 5-8pm. Visit www.artcgalleryltd.com for more images from the show and to find out more about Mary Ann.
