New Work in Watercolor on Translucent Yupo

Helen takes advantage of the translucency of this synthetic Japanese paper in order to paint on the backside as well as the front. What's painted on the back is very subtle, yet shows through to the front and contributes to the final effect. Yupo allows the artist to paint more spontaneously and creatively than on regular watercolor paper. Helen's work in this series will be featured at Art Central through May.
